The training is comprehensive and includes extensive online training modules offered through CBAM (see below) and exposes you to a minimum of 20 treatment models during the practical training (minimum of 10 per nurse).

Our Training for Nurses

Four day package with certification

Theory through Canadian Board of Aesthetic Medicine (https://lms.cbamedicine.com) which includes:

  1. Review of facial anatomy
  2. Cosmetic Dermatology (optional: multiple choice exam)
  3. Basic injectables online course: Basic botox and filler (optional: multiple choice exam)
  4. Advanced Injectable online course (optional: multiple choice exam)
  5. Filler Safety Course
  6. Laser certificate program (optional: multiple choice exam)
  7. Skin treatments and basic chemical peels (plus multiple choice exam)
  8. PRP, mesotherapy and microneedling (optional: multiple choice exam)
  9. Sclerotherapy (optional: multiple choice exam)
  10. Basics of Sculptra

Cost

$7,500 plus tax $8500 plus tax to include CAMP certification (includes cost of OSCE and preparation of patient files to be submitted to CBAM).

Day 1: 1 hour technique demonstration (shadowing) & 5 patients (1 hr/patient)

In Quebec, nurses are required to  have a medical director who is licensed to do injectables by the College des Medicins du Quebec. The medical director takes responsibility for their patients and treatments for  cosmetic Neuromodulators or injectable fillers.The initial consultation with the medical director is crucial for outlining the treatment plan and obtaining informed consent. Registered nurses can perform injections as delegated by the physician, with a need for a new consultation in case of changes in the patient’s status or after two years. Auxiliary nurses need the medical director to review the patient at each visit.
